4:00pm pear pastry

01-10 pear tart
A recommendation from Columbus, Ohio! It's not the first time someone's recommended Grandaisy Bakery in the former Sullivan Street Bakery location, but we just haven't had a chance to try yet. Elizabeth from Ohio State, perhaps you (or your sister) could tell us what to call this dessert? It's not really a tart and it's more than a pastry but the precise name escapes us. Regardless of what it's called, it was pretty dang tasty.

Hi! Thanks for going to Grandaisy-I hope you enjoyed it!. What you ate was a pear tart that is a puff pastry base with fragipane (almond cream) and a poached pear. The pear is flavored with simple syrup, vanilla and quince paste. One of my favorites!
