Loreley, a birthday lunch

04-22 Loreley04-22 Loreley
Everyday is a great day for birthday lunches, but today's warm spring weather was particularly nice for a celebratory meal in the beirgarten (beer garden) of Loreley. Between old friends and new ones we ran the gamut of classic German dishes: wurstchen (weiner), weisswurst (white sausage) and reibekuchen (potato pancakes). Accompanying the satisfyingly good meal was a conversation about the uses of twitter, the much discussed elevator article, belonging to a book club and the additive nature of Lost.
