The cookie ate her head! Reminds us of aliens, sci-fi stories and of course, Ray Bradbury. Not the required high school reading that everyone knows, but rather his fabulously subtle and surreal short stories. The Illustrated Man is a good one to start with; while the tales may occasionally seem straightforward and familiar he will surprise you with every tale. Twilight Zone style.
