The disarray of the global market makes me think we better start bringing in more homemade treats instead of always purchasing them. Oh dear.

If you're in the vicinity of an Ikea, you might like to try one of their frozen cakes. I just bought a dark chocolate almond torte for $5.49 (in Pennsylvania) that serves 6-8 depending upon how large you cut the slices. It was rich and delicious, and much cheaper than bakery prices.
