Cafe el Portal, with Jared

11-24 Cafe El Portal
The other week we received a rather random email from someone in the restaurant business asking if we would be interested in meeting up to chat about his latest venture. Well, we're always up for some randomness so we suggested the cozy Cafe el Portal for lunch. Over hearty portions of the lovingly homemade daily specials, (pictured here the lamb stew), we found out we're not such strangers after all. Today's lunch only uncovered two close connections but I wouldn't be surprised if there were more. Strangers to the city may marvel at these seemingly coincidental links but anyone who's lived here for any time at all will tell you, it's a very small world and it's just getting smaller.
