3:50pm strawberry cheesecake

09-09 strawberry cheesecake
We actually bought this last Friday but had to run, and I left it for Thu with strict instructions to eat it. Instead she threw it in the fridge where it has sat since then, butt naked to the open air. Admittedly M. and I were a little scared today but rather pleasantly it tasted less of refrigerator than expected. It actually retained the signature Eileen's taste, if drier than usual.

For a four day old, unwrapped leftover this looks excellent! I'd eat it! Right now, please!

Also, I don't expect you ladies to know this, partially because you don't come from a few dozen generations of native English speakers as I do, and partially because the phrase is so often misused these days, just as you've done here. However, the phrase is "buck naked," as in naked as a buck (male deer) not "butt naked." I think it comes from how naked they are after they've been skinned-- and it doesn't get much more naked than that! LOL!

P.S. If you want to delete this comment, feel free. I only mentioned it because you are incredibly precise, exacting Ladies Who Lunch and I thought you'd want to know.

I wish more people would correct improper usage! I honestly can say neither of us have ever known it was buck and not butt and now we are both the wiser for it. Thanks for the clarification! I'm excited to make more buck naked comments in the future.
