Bar Suzette, at San Gennaro, with Hong

09-19 Bar Suzette
If we will be quiet and ready enough, we shall find compensation in every disappointment, or so says Thoreau, and I admit the ham and cheese crepes from Bar Suzette's stand at San Gennaro were rather tasty. They were made with a deft hand and an ample sprinkling of pepper, but in the end enough to compensate for the missing Torrisi/Breslin/Byggyz stand? Nothing in all the little bits of news about foodies infiltrating the annual Italian feast said anything about their limited lunch showing. So we settled for crepes, were pleasantly surprised, and still hungered for more.
