In brief: We're sure there are better Korean restaurants but we haven't had a better sul long tang and they serve our favorite kimchi.
04-10 Gahm Mi Oak
It's counterintuitive to head up to a different neighborhood for lunch when you're pressed for time, but we had exactly 70 minutes to spare, and having a tasty lunch seemed to us the most important thing we could do with that time.  It took us almost precisely that, but we could have done it in 60minutes or less had we caught the express train (which we usually have no problems catching). When one thinks of Gahm Mi Oak, their sul long tang comes to mind, but today i decided to change it up a bit and try the bibimbap. Which was delicious but the pricetag is not recommended for lunch. I just had to have it - cheap lunches for the rest of the week.

hi m&l, just curious...are your cheap lunches out of necessity or principle? or a combination of both? thanks...luv following your blog -- keep on noshing!

Both! Though mostly out of necessity. There's nothing wrong with splurging on lunch from time to time, and it's easy to eat cheaply at home for dinner instead, which is what we tend to do.
