Aamanns-Copenhagen, with Mike

11-20 Aamanns
M. met Mike at a Foodspotting thing some time ago but we never were able to arrange a lunch until today, though she will be jealous that I went without her to the newly opened Aamann's. If you have any question about what a piece of Denmark would taste like, this is the place to try. We ordered 2 smorrebrod each, all of them an astonishing combination of flavors and textures served on deeply dark grained rye bread so typical in the Baltic countries. It's not a cheap lunch, the open face sandwiches are smallish and at $9 or so a piece, a bit of an indulgence, though Mike and I agreed, a worthwhile one.
