mexican concha

The bialys from Hot Bread Kitchen are indeed as delicious as touted. I had searched my local Whole Foods to try their Christmas Stollen this past December with no success. Today at the Union Square Market, I spotted a cute little bun called a Mexican Concha (sweet-topped bun) and just had to have it.
To be honest, it wasn't as exciting as some of their other offerings, but the challah base was nice and egg-y, I really could have used some butter though that's not probably how it's eaten. Either way, I'm happy to support this non-profit that enables women and minority entrepreneurs access to the culinary world. Yes, we're a fan.
