Taste of Persia

No way are going to resist a lunch recommendation described as "delicious Persian food from a takeout counter in a pizza joint". Thank you O.T. for thinking of us. We were enthralled by Taste of Persia and Saeed Pourkay as he slowly prepared samples for us to try. I would have stopped him after the first sampling of his famous vegetarian noodle soup/stew (aash reshteh) to tell him we would take a bit of everything. And so a bit of everything we took to go. M. loved the eggplant and chicken while I preferred the combination of a stewed beef kabob type dish eaten with a different, more intense eggplant dish. Judging by the fandom on yelp, Saeed may do well as a little pop-up take out counter in the front corner of a generic pizzeria. We certainly will be going back.
