In brief: A meal at Momofuku Ssam is always an enjoyable experience but the lunch options are not nearly as interesting as at dinner.

While I am a fan of the Momofuku empire, I sometimes feel as though I'm on a lone deserted island when I say I think Momofuku Ssam is overrated. But then again, I've also had meals there where I thought they deserve all the accolades. And it's not that their kitchen is inconsistent. I just find some of their dishes totally disappointingly ordinary. But disappointing, only because talk about it is as if it's the best thing since sliced bread.
