In brief: Not sure what the hype is behind Sweet Green, though the constantly long lines don't care for our opinion much.

I wish someone could tell us what it is about salad bars, and Sweet Green in particular, that makes them so popular. We both tried ones recommended by Serious Eats but seriously, we felt let down and unfulfilled after. Though if you do like salad bars, and especially Sweet Green, I can recommend ordering online first and then going over to pick up. Stay and eat or leave, it cuts down on waiting in line all that time.
