In brief: As always, the raw authenticity of the space at An Choi makes me happy to be eating on rickety benches, squeezed in with my lunch mates, having a hot bowl of pho.

Brigid wanted to celebrate Tết together so we agreed to meet at An Choi for Vietnamese food. Our lunch date kept getting postponed but since some countries celebrate for two weeks following the new moon let's just say we made it in time. M. and I both very much pine for phở waaaay up here in the Flatiron District so it was a small sigh of happiness that we each ordered one classic and one chicken. On an unrelated note, the NPR Boston midday news show, Here & Now, had a short segment on the end of the lunch hour.
