KOA with Saha

Rating: 3 - Feeling Good

In brief: The dining room was warm today, which made for a more pleasant experience
03-05 KOA
We were there not very long ago, and while we try not to repeat our lunch spot much, we couldn't resist since we owed our fabulous friend Saha lunch, and he wanted ramen.
I ordered the spicy Dan Dan Ramen, just because I wanted to explore the menu a bit although I'd be happy sticking to the chashu-ramen. My preference is definitely for the classic, but this was not bad. Spicy, but not overwhelmingly so, just at the edge where it gets too spicy for me. I wouldn't mind trying some of his other dishes, as he was the former Iron Chef Chinese in Japan. I spotted Ban Ban Ji the first time, which made me do a double take as it's one of those classic Chinese dishes that's wildly popular in Japan but I don't see it much here, or at least under that name (this is before we knew the chef was Japanese). Or maybe it'll be the fried rice - I do crave a good Japanese style fried rice.
