I guess we shouldn't complain too much about the rainy gray skies today as it has been rather perfect summer beach weather until this morning. Regardless a rich chocolately cupcake dressed like a fancy Hostess cupcake goes a long way to brightening up our afternoon.

When I was a little girl, my aunt worked at a big regional bakery that made hostess inspired cupcakes. Not having yet learned how to read, I thought that the squiggles on top were my name in cursive and that each one she brought was personalized just for me.
