4:00pm blondies

03-23 blondies
I rarely crave brownies. Blondies on the other hand... But it's hard to find a good blondie, so set out to make my own. It's a bit hard to get yourself to include an ingredient you don't like, in this case white chocolate. But it felt essential. Splurged on a good bar and chopped it up instead of white chocolate chips. The result was pretty darn pro.

I think you're going to need to link me up with the recipe. Yum. I"m also not a white chocolate fan, think I could skip it?

Hil - I think you need to subscribe to cooksillustrated.com to view the recipe. If you cook a lot and don't mind painstaking recipes, it's worth the $$. By memory I believe it was 1.5 cups flour and equal amount of light brown sugar, 2 tsp baking soda, salt, 1.5 sticks of butter, 2 eggs, 4 tsps vanilla, 3 oz each of white and normal chocolate, and 1 cup toasted pecans. I'm pretty sure about this. 350 degrees for 22-25 min and 9x13 pan. Whisk and rubber spatula is all you need. Good luck!
