Nyonya

03-03 Nyonya
There was every intention of stepping out for a hot bowl of noodle soup at lunchtime; from the moment of consciousness this cold morning - that was what the stomach yearned for. Caught between emails, phone calls and drawing, the plan to go to New Chao Chow quickly turned into picking up Wonton Mee from Nyonya. After placing the order for pick-up, it was quickly forgotten that the order was even placed, and by the time it was consumed, the noodles were a bit soggy, though they were properly separated from the soup. It still hit the spot.

I recommend the Curry Mee With Young Tau Foo *spicy (egg noodles served in a spicy lemon grass coconut curry with tofu & vegs. stuffed with fish) and the Fried Pearl Noodle (stir-fried noodles in special sauce with shrimp, squid, chicken, pork, egg, scallion, onion & bean sprouts).

Gordon - That sounds delicious! Will make sure to lunch it next time. We also like the pearl noodle in a clay pot - but stir-fried sounds amazing. Can't wait.
