Yow! This is some apple turnover! Village Tart's desserts continue to win us over. The pastry is more a pate sable, rather than your typical puff pastry, but it's a good thing in this case. Flaky, salty and melt in your mouth tender, the apples are stewed to an applesauce texture, and studded with golden sultanas. Ugh.
