Pret a Manger

M. had some last minute things to take care of this morning, leaving me bereft and alone for lunch but not to worry because I ducked around the corner to an unexpected singles eating lunch spot - the upstairs cafe at Pret a Manger on 23rd St. By the time I left, some couples had joined the fray but when I first sat down it felt very much like a place for lunch and solitary pursuits.
