In Brief: There are few places left in the city that are as delightfully old-school as Eisenberg's. They're famous for their tuna melt, and we're partial to their fried bologna sandwich on rye.
Some flu variant felled me this weekend and after two days of sleeping, I really needed some matzoh ball soup loving. Eisenberg's is not my first choice, based on taste alone, but it's a cosy place to get warm. We split the meatloaf special, which was as exactly what diner meatloaf should be - a big pile of mushiness melt in your mouth vegetables, potatoes, meat, whatever.
