In brief: Too much sugar
A friend had told us of Shanghai Cuisine, noting that he thought they had the best soup dumplings. We had always wanted to check this place out, so it was a no-brainer when we were to choose a spot in Chinatown for lunch. The restaurant is breezy and uplifting unlike most Chinatown restaurants, and looks like they overtook an Italian one (with red checkered tablecloths). The first bite was quite good, however I noted that all the dishes were quite sweet (a mark of asian food made for westerners), and the more we ate the more it was hard to escape.
