Ippudo

04-21 Ippudo
Ippudo is the new hot spot for ramen in NYC these days, complete with 2-hour long waits at dinnertime and $13-a-bowl prices. We couldn't avoid the prices but we eluded the wait time by popping in for lunch today (no wait whatsoever!). Ippudo, a somewhat known chain straight from the homeland of ramen, offers tonkotsu ramen (pork based broth) and for some reason it's causing ripples. Our verdict: very very tasty but not worth waiting 2 hours for and still hard to justify the $13.
Ippudo, 65 Fourth Avenue btwn 9th and 10th

I'd pay $13 to have one of those in front of me right now. It looks unbelievably good.

well it was kind of worth both the 15 minute walk and the $13 just to try. next time you're in nyc!
